Educational/Conference Center on Sister Eleanor's Mission Compound in La Ceiba, Hondruas.
Update on the construction of the Educational/Conference Center in La Ceiba. We will be hearing more about this from Benny, this is just to get you thinking about it. " I've been ionvolved for about four years now, and am
amazed at how our Lord and Saviour works in the hearts of those who will surrender to His work..
My vision is to assist the various teams in raising the funds necessary to complete the Education and Conference Center. (formerly called the pastors motel). I see this building serving as a multi use facillity.
1. Housing for pastors who come into LaCeiba for professional development and inspiration.
2. Lecture rooms and a pastors library.
3. Safe house for temporary stay of abused families.
4. Housing for individuals recovering from surgery or illness before returning to the mountains.
5. Shelter during times of storms and floods.
6. Housing for misssion teams working in the LeCeiba area.
7. Any other good and humanitarian cause that is Christ centered.
Mike Dunlap, a Jasper, Alabama contractor, is working on a new set of plans for the facility. He plans to go to Honduras in January, 2008. Mike was the original person to be interested in helping achieve Sister
Eleanor's dream for the development of this facility. God has led me to take a lead in trying to raise the funds for this facility. We will accomplish this by challenging each of the various teams that enter Honduras
under the watch care of Cruzadus, to contribute the funds needed over a 24 month period.
We will be able to eliminate some expense by use of volunteer labor when possible.
When Mike completes the plans, we will be able to put a dollar amount on the project. We want to build
the facility, equip it and have the funds to operate it for the first year. That will give us a year to develop
an on going plan for funding daily operation of the facility.
This sounds like a lot, but no project is to big for our LORD. I praise Him and thank Him for your service.
Please keep me informed of your plans and allow me to help when I can.
Your brother in Christ"
