From Andy Tarnold
Morning Tom. I hope you are well . I have been getting your email and saw your web site. I am very impressed with your church and hope ours can follow in your foot steps. We not as well oiled as your group.
I saw where you used a lot of soap for scabies and recommended we carry meds that will treat fungus etc. Also asthma and cough problems seem to be common in addition to the diabetes and blood pressure.
If you know of specific meds that we should gather here please let us know. Also where do we get the soap for scabies?
I received an email from a lady that mentioned an area of storage that you have in Laceiba. Is that a potential place for us to pick up some supplies.
In the future I want to get to know you and your group better and work more with you. It seems you are more adapt at what is going on so possibly we could better serve by coordinating our efforts with yours. This might include arrangements for each group communicating with the other and our doing other ventures such as your group did. Specifically the wood work class or sewing class in the surrounding area. We are sending a second group along with the medical group that is staying in Laceiba for habitat. Possibly they are more needed or equally needed in Limon.
I feel that we are still on a learning curve even though we have been down several times. The group seems to change and to a degree the leadership. If I could ask, how is each of the missionary members of your group supported.Do they pay their own way in its entirety or does your church help support. I hope this is not too personal but for some of our team, I feel the church should support more and this has been an issue of recent interest. Especially for the younger ones taking their vacation time and having to really pinch their pennies to go.
Thanks for your time. Any advice on what medicines or other items to take will be appreciated. Make sure I get to see the young boy with club feet. One of our church members said he wanted to see if the medical univ here would volunteer the treatment if we could get him in the states. You said you did not really want to go that route but is it a possibility? Keep in touch and God Bless. Andy
