Good evening Brother!
I am back from my two month trip to Honduras. The Lord
provided in a marvelous way for our Pastor's
Convention.
In reading your email about the container, I have an
on going request. Please! Please! Don't allow anything
on the containers that is not specifically for your
medical teams or for a Cruzadas sponsored project. I
know we have requested this numerous times but some
items are still being put on for projects and areas
not under the supervision of Cruzadas. We are
endangering our organization's "tax status" when this
is allowed. We have been told with written
documentation we will lose our "not for profit" status
if this continues.
I realize individuals want to be independent and have
different ways of doing things but we have to put a
stop to this practice now.
One area that I know of is the clinic your brother has
sponsored. Another is items sent to Peace Corps
personnel in Yoro. Please help me in this important
area. It has taken us many years to establish our
credentials and to gain the respect of the government.
I don't want to lose it over someones individual
project. We don't do everything perfect and I know
some think their ways are better but in this case, we
have to abide within the Honduran laws and be examples
of Christ to those over us.
I spoke to Ken about this and he said you were the one
to put a stop to it. So please, make sure this doesn't
continue.
Thank you,
Dan
P.S. I hope you don't take offense but we have to obey
the laws and it is my responsibility to make sure we
do. We appreciate all that you guys are doing and we
look forward to many years of working together. If you
have any questions, please call me at 813-732-4848.
