Several people have used this to raise money. It works well. Change it to fit yourself and personalize it. Then mail it to literally everyone you know. If you send out 100 letters, you will get your money. At least it has worked so far. Remember, when you get home you owe your contributors a talk and a showing of pictures.

I will be joining a mission team to Honduras in 2007. We will be an interdenominational team of about 10 – 20 folks, mostly from Walker County. We will be serving the indigent Gariffina Villages of Honduras.
Our team will consist of medical, dental, eye glasses, building of churches and schools, and teaching programs. Most of the people we serve will be kids under the age of 12. We plan to do eye care and vision evaluation in the local schools, as well as vision evaluation of the older folks. We will hold medical clinics, give out free medicine, serve in soup kitchens for orphans of AIDS, and build on a school.

If you don’t think you can go but would like to be a part of this mission, you can make a donation and I will apply it directly to the $1,500 I need to rise to go. When I get back, I would love to bring you pictures and come and tell you about my week in Honduras working with kids.
