here is how Ben Copland is working on the library projects for Honduras.
Tom, I was at a meeting of the community benefit committee for our facility at Kaiser this morning One of the administrators brought up that next year ( 2009) Kaiser will be expanding our book giveaway program outside of the waiting rooms to the community. I asked if they had considered giving books away outside the USA, such as Honduras. He stated the idea had not been brought up before, but he thought we should, especially in areas where our docs go to volunteer. So I told him about the libraries in Honduras, and he promised to bring it up at the next regional meeting. Of course, there are many "ifs" on this, but I thought it was worth raising, and he seemed positive. I will keep up with him, and if anything happens, I will let you know. Ben
