Tom,
Please alert all AHMEN teams of the following:
We visited a private hospital at Belfate and the person giving the tour said that the Honduran Government has just recently past stricter laws regarding out-of-date Pharmaceuticals. They made them (the hospital) pull all their out-of-date drugs off their shelves and threatened sever legal action (jail time) if there were any future infractions. He (the guide at the hospital) suggested that any medical brigade bringing drugs into the country be careful not to include out-of-date or even near-date drugs. I know that Bucket’s team got hassled about some dated vitamins at the airport but still got through. Anyway, that is the warning.
On a far less professional note, teams going into La Ceiba should be advised that Ricardo’s has been sold and will be torn down to make way for a new office building. The restaurant was still operating when we were there, but I forgot to ask when they were closing for good. Tom, if it is still open when you are down in August, go by and order the Fish Ricardo. Believe me, you will be pleased that you did.
guf
thanks for the info
