Dear Friends:
Do you ever wonder is the things you donate to a mission, actually makes it to the ones you intend? Have you ever hesitated to spend your time and money on missions because of fear that it doesn't "get there," but comes to rest in someone's pocket? The truth is after the gift leaves your hand, it is in God's. And, yes - it gets there. You give to Him and trust Him to direct it where He wants to use it. On the 12th of June Dale and I will be traveling to Honduras for 2 weeks, as I was looking at the Honduras mission site I saw a wonderful article about the girls at Shalom. Through an anonymous donor, filtered through our Children's Church at Hunters Chapel, we have been able to help a beautiful young girl named Jacquelin, whose life has been changed because she has Godly people in her life who has a desire to help her grow into all God wants her to be. You can read about her desires by going to www.honduranmissions.com and scroll down until you see a picture of her (on the right side of the home page) above the caption "profiles from the girls of Shalom." She is holding a picture of all the girls who live at the dorm, and a picture of some of our children from Hunters Chapel. Click on the link and read about them. I noticed some of the girls are wearing Hunters Chapel t-shirts which we sent to them for Christmas! I love it! We also sent them Spanish Bibles.
Remember we could forward you devastating photos of some of the poverty (it is there) or some of the children still living in the dump who are hunger (they are there) but I've chosen to share this bit of webpage with you, hoping you will surf around to see what good things the AHMEN teams are doing in Honduras.
Dale and I want to thank you for your support, help, supplies, love, and prayers as we prepare to go to Honduras to minister Evangelistic this year. The door has opened, and we want to be tools for God to use in whatever way He sees fit.
Many of you have signed up to be our "prayer warriors" while we prepare to leave and while we are gone. THANK YOU! and, we are counting on you to hold the prayer umbrella over us everyday as you pray. Notice the website is honduraN not honduras.
Love and prayers, Brenda
