*Medication Status Report*
All charitable donations of medication and supplies for the Belaire trip have been applied for, requested and confirmed. We are waiting for delivery to either my home or to the Arley warehouse (in one case).
Some of these materials will be for our trip and some material and meds will be shared and made available to the April AHMEN/CHIMES trip and for the August/Sept AHMEN trip. Parceling/separation will occur upon shipment arrival.
The free medication lists were not too expansive, there were not the choices I had hoped for. Quite frequently the materials are short dated or less desirable drugs.
I expect the Direct Relief Shipment in about 2-3 weeks. It will go to the Arley warehouse for lack of other suitable storage space. I expect a moderately large shipment. It will have to be moved when we find a new facility.
Suture material from Ethicon/MAP will be shipped on Nov 30
Ophthalmic meds from ALCON will be shipped prior to Christmas
Kingsway will ship around 12/7
The projected list of needed medications for the Belaire trip was indeed diminished by the PROJECTED donations from DRI and Kingsway, but not to the extent that we hoped.. It must also be understood that we don't have that medication in hand and we really don't have any way of knowing if in fact we will receive what we requested. It follows then, that we must re-compile a list of medications to be purchased from Blessings or MAP soon to assure timely delivery. I have requested current available lists from Blessings and MAP, and I will begin formulating the list again.
Brad Guffey, MD, ad asked that we include medications for his work in Africa to be piggybacked on our list. I will send him a list also for him to choose.
We are now less than three months from departure for Honduras.
