The Carolina Honduras Health Foundation Board met Tuesday. Because of rising costs in Honduras, some of the vehicle fees were increased. These increases will start March 1, 2010. The first two teams affected by the increase will be board member teams. Nissan Van (11plus 2 jump seats met LaCeiba/return LaCeiba - $200.00 met San Pedro Sula/return LaCeiba - $250.00 met San Pedro Sula/return San Pedro Sula - $300 New Toyota 16 Passenger Diesel Van met LaCeiba/return LaCeiba - $400.00 met San Pedro/return LaCeiba or reverse - $450.00 met San Pedro/return San Pedro Sula - $500.00 Toyota Truck: met LaCeiba/return LaCeiba - $150.00 met San Pedro/return LaCeiba or reverse - $200.00 met San Pedro/return San Pedro Sula - $250.00 Covered trailer for supplies, food and baggage met in LaCeiba/return LaCeiba - $50.00 met San/Pedro/return LaCeiba or reverse - $50.00 met in San Pedro/return San Pedro Sula - $50.00
In 2010, the foundation will supply the following for patient use in Limon, Icoteas and surrounding areas: Chloroquine tablets - NOT LIQUID Worm medications - both tablets & liquid Oxygen Please notify Sandy when the above medications are getting low so there will be a supply for the next team and be sure that David loads the oxygen tanks into the trailer when they need to be refilled.
