To All team leaders going to Honduras during the months of June and July ‘10
Michael Franklin is my nephew and first went to Honduras when he was 13 years old. This was our first team to Honduras from AHMEN. He has gone each year since that time. He is now a High School Spanish teacher here in Alabama.
Why am I telling you this?
He plans to spend the months of June and July in Honduras, working with any team that might need/want an interpreter. In addition, he will spend time with the various AHMEN projects there. He will be helping to set up a seminar that AHMEN plans to have in Sept with the various librarians and other leaders of the various projects we are affiliated with.
He is offering his service for interpreters for two reasons.
One to help the various teams out. He will not charge for his service, but will need simply room and board. Obviously, since he will already be in Honduras, there is no air line ticket, etc.
Two, to better know the teams and to learn from them for future team work.
We have had individuals stay for extended peerionds of time before and go with various teams and have found this to be quite beneficial to both the team they go on and the cohesiveness of the overall program in Honduras.
I have been on more than 13 teams with Michael. We just returned last week from a 12 day stay in Honduras. His Spanish is excellent, he has worked in the pharmacy, triage, interpreter, and assistant road manager.
Also, he is my nephew so I have literraly known him all of his life.
Please consider adding him to your team, it will a great benefit to you and has great potential to help the overall effective of all of our work.
Call me if you like for specific info. or questions.
