'10 The Dengue outbreak in Honduras is growing; To date, 33.628 reported cases of classic dengue, 1,025 of hemorragic Dengue and 43 certified deaths, and 16 patients in critical status in Hospial escuela. Tegucigalpa is the most affected zone followed by Olancho, San Pedro Sula, Choluteca and El Paraiso.
Actually 15 cases of dengue per day are reported in San Pedro Sula, and now you can buy oral rehydration salts in all the littles stores around the country.
In Gracias a Dios department we have 6 suspects cases of hemorragic dengue in Puerto Lempira´s Hospital ; Perhapas becouse they got direct fligths to Tegucigalpa every day. Whatever Puerto lempira is very far from here and you can go only by plane. So in Palacios we dont have any suspect case of dengue. Report sent to Bruce from Local doc at Palaciios
